The project was initiated in 2003 by Andrzej Pągowski. Based on the latest historical knowledge, the author created 49 portraits of Polish monarchs. Organizational, documentation and artistic works lasted 10 years and ended in November 2013, just a couple of days before Professor Waldemar Świerzy’s death.
